Coastal Tractor Bug Vacuums

Coastal Tractor has taken the time to develop a Bug-Vac system that is capable of controlling pests on a variety of crops. Vacuums vary in hood sizes, from 40” to 80”, and everything in-between. They are working in crops from romaine and artichokes to strawberries. These vacuums work great and have had significant results on production in both organic and conventional farming.

Durability

This unit is made to last. The hood is made out of aluminum with stainless steel re-enforcements, which will have a longer life than a fiberglass hood design.

Modular

Coastal Tractor designed this unit with modularity in mind. The Bug-Vac’s hood system and oil tank are capable of being removed from the unit in less than 15 minutes. This makes the Workmaster Series or TS6 series tractors capable of being used for other jobs on the ranch such as bed shaping, plastic laying, etc. This is made possible due to the skid steer Quick-Attach mounting plate on the loader as well as the quick couplers on the forward and rear tank hydraulic connections.

Efficiency

Due to the design of our patented hoods we have achieved a 98% kill efficiency (in strawberries), which is unmatched in the industry.
